Hulu Releases First Teaser for Animaniacs Reboot

Updated: Oct 13, 2020

When Hulu first announced that Animaniacs was getting a reboot, I was admittedly skeptical.

I mean, this was an iconic show in it's time and one that still, to this day, has a large fan base.

Honestly I didn't think you could just come along and recapture the magic of the original.

But it would seem I was sorely mistaken.

Hulu has just released the first teaser/clip from the new Animaniacs show (which got a two season order right out the gate) and it is gold!

Riffing on the classic scene in Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park, Where Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm are introduced to John Hammond's dinosaurs, we see the characters here introduced instead to the back-from-extinction Warner Bros (and the Warner sister), Yakko, Wakko and Dot.

The clip also points out that we will see the return of wannabe world-conquerors Pinky and the Brain in the new series.

Created by Tom Ruegger, the show premiered on Fox Kids before moving to Kid’s WB in 1995. It was produced by Amblin Entertainment, with Steven Spielberg serving as executive producer (a role which he returns to for the reboot).

Animaniacs‘ original run lasted 99 episodes, ending in 1998.

Unsung hero of the show, songwriter Randy Rogel (who wrote the AMAZING ‘Yakko’s World’ which you can watch below) as well as the majority of original voice actors are set to return for the new series.

The show is currently scheduled to air on Hulu starting November 20, 2020 with a second season set for 2021.

Now have fun learning geography with Yakko:
