Latest rumours (and I stress rumours) is that Sony Pictures are looking at Henry Golding to star in their live-action adaptation of popular manga and anime series ‘One Punch Man’.
The studio is apparently also keen to get director Chloé Zhao (director of Marvel's upcoming The Eternals)
One Punch Man follows the story of Saitama, the worl'd most powerful superhero who can defeat any opponent with just one punch and his quest to find a worthy opponent after growing bored with the lack of challenge that comes with being so powerful.
Starting as a webcomic created by the artist known as 'One' in 2009, the series went on to become a manga, followed by a hit anime produced by Madhouse.
Golding rose to movie fame in 2018's Crazy Rich Asians, and also appeared in such films as Guy Ritchie's latest The Gentlemen and the rather enjoyable Paul Feig rom-com Last Christmas in which he starred opposite Emilia Clarke.
Are you excited to see a US studio try to tackle another popular manga/anime? I mean...it has to be better than Ghost in the Shell, right?
